LOG4J Scanner

The Log4j exploit, called Log4Shell or CVE-2021-44228 has been in the news a fair bit over the past months however I have been shocked at the number of customer environments I have recently encountered that still have this vulnerability.

The Log4j exploit, called Log4Shell or CVE-2021-44228 has been in the news a fair bit over the past months however I have been shocked at the number of customer environments I have recently encountered that still have this vulnerability. It can be difficult to know if your application is utilising LOG4J therefore I have created a scanner for this very issue. I came up with this script as I needed something that will run on PowerShell regardless of the Windows OS or .NET version installed. I have re-written a .NET zip routine to support .NET version 2.0 compiler so this will work on any Windows OS from 2003/XP upwards.

The script will scan for four of the main vulnerabilities found in LOG4J version 2.x including the more recent CVE202144228. Get in touch for a copy of the script and to see how you could integrate this within your own environment.

I was recently tasked with adding a "Free-Gift" component to a shopify e-commerce site and found that majority of the Shopify Apps that provide this capability can cost you upwards of $30USD per Month. Shopify has a great template language (Liquid) and this provides a great platform to easily add the Free-Gift logic to your site at no additional cost!
