Professional business email on your own domain
Still emailing customers from a Gmail, Outlook or internet-provider address? Move to proper business email with Microsoft 365. We set it up, bring your old emails across and handle all the technical bits.
- you@yourbusiness.co.nz, on your phone and computer
- Old emails, contacts and calendar moved across
- Set up properly so your emails reach the inbox
A free email address can cost you more than you think
A Gmail address is fine when you're starting out. As the business grows, it quietly works against you.
First impressions
Customers trust an email from your own domain more than a free address, especially when you're sending quotes and invoices.
You own it
When staff leave, their mailbox stays with the business. With personal accounts, your customer history can walk out the door.
Security you control
Multi-factor sign-in, protection against phishing and malware, and the ability to lock an account instantly if a device is lost.
Reaching the inbox
With your domain set up properly (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), your emails are less likely to land in spam, and harder for scammers to fake.
Everything a growing business needs from email
- Your own address for everyone: name@yourbusiness.co.nz
- Shared inboxes like info@, accounts@ or jobs@ that several people can use, at no extra licence cost
- Outlook on your computer, phone and in the browser
- A shared calendar for bookings, meetings and leave
- 50 GB mailboxes, so you'll never need to delete old emails
- Teams, OneDrive and Office apps too, depending on the plan

What our clients say
Smith Technology Group provided outstanding support for our recent digital transition. They managed a complex DNS migration, built custom Squarespace sites aligned with our B2B requirements, and stepped in quickly when our email system went offline. Ryan’s communication, responsiveness, and attention to detail were exceptional, and the service delivered was excellent value. Highly recommended.
We are a small business who was seeking to automate our data collection from multiple markets and global sales each month to save time and resources by using Power BI. But we didn't have internal knowledge of Power BI and our data sources were PDFs, Xcels and were varied.
I cannot speak highly enough of Ryan who executed this project.
He is highly skilled in Power BI, highly professional, methodical, communicative and patient.
He mapped all our data inputs, created an automated intuitive Power BI system to save our monthly sales into a folder, and now this automatically generates an updated dashboard view each month. This used to take half to a full day, and now takes 20 minutes.
As the GM of a small company, this is already giving us much deeper insights and actionable data - all by simply saving input files into a folder. It has been a very worthwhile decision.
Nikki H. GM. Kolorex.
We’ve been working with Ryan from Smith Technology on the Tyre General website, and his technical expertise has been exceptional. He’s played a major role in developing and streamlining our product pages, transforming thousands of variable tyre listings into a structured, user-friendly, and high-performing format.
Ryan handled everything from cleansing and organising large product data sets to building dynamic templates that automatically pull through specifications, imagery, and key SEO elements. He’s also optimised back-end code and improved page load speeds, ensuring our customers can easily browse by vehicle type, brand, or category. Beyond the front-end experience, Ryan built custom forms and automated data workflows that make updating and managing our catalogue incredibly efficient. His ability to combine technical precision with a strong understanding of our business needs has been invaluable.
Highly recommend Ryan, Lara and the Smith Technology team, they’ve made a complex project feel seamless and delivered results that genuinely elevate our online presence.
Business email questions
Will I lose my old emails?
No. We bring your existing emails, contacts and calendar across to Microsoft 365 wherever the old provider allows it. Gmail and most other providers do.
Can I keep my old Gmail address?
Yes. You can keep it and forward everything to your new address, so nothing sent to the old one gets missed while customers update their records.
Do I need a website to have my own email domain?
No. You need a domain name such as yourbusiness.co.nz, but you don't need a website on it. If you don't have a domain yet, we'll help you register one.
How long does the switch take?
For a small business, often a day or two. Some changes to your domain's settings (DNS) can take up to 48 hours to take effect everywhere, so we plan the switch-over to avoid any lost email.
What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?
They're settings on your domain that prove your emails really come from you. They help your messages land in the inbox instead of spam, and make it harder for scammers to send fake emails pretending to be your business. We set all three up.
How much does it cost?
Microsoft 365 is a monthly subscription per person. Shared inboxes like info@ or accounts@ don't need a paid licence, and email-only plans are available if you don't need the rest of Microsoft 365. We'll recommend the cheapest setup that does the job.
